Day 3 & 4 - Dehydration and Interval Running

Well the cookies were not delicious. Haha.
Oh well, trial & error!
I got really dehydrated yesterday.
I found myself in Target feeling really dizzy and faint and could barely make it to the Starbucks counter (which is also inside Target) to ask for a cup of water.
This shouldn't have happened because I'm supposed to be drinking massive amounts of water but because of the Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) that I have, water goes right through me without absorbing into my body unless I eat enough salt.
I've been used to getting enough salt because on top of adding it into everything I eat, there's already tons of it in all packaged and processed food.
So by cutting that food out, I've cut out a huge amount of (unhealthy) salt.
All day today I've been adding even more sea salt (I have this pink himalayan salt that I love!) which seems to be helping a bit.

I also did some interval running yesterday where I run for 20 seconds and walk for 10 seconds.
I made it through 5 rounds of it and then just spent the rest of the time running for as long of stretches as I could and then walking to recover until I'd gone the entire mile.

I've been using MapMyRun.com which is a really cool free program where I can map where I'm running to measure the distances and remember how long it took, how hard it was, find out the calories burned and see improvement as time goes on.

I've gone 7.12 miles since Sunday.

I also started wearing my pedometer again and yesterday alone I walked over 6,500 steps (2,000 is about a mile).

Peace, Love and Skinny Jeans,
Krissy
